1. Who we are
StoryLine Pro Pte. Ltd. is a public relations consultancy registered and operating in Singapore. Our registered office address is 120 Robinson Road, #14-01, Singapore 068913. For privacy enquiries, contact [email protected] or call +65 6223 4817 during Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 SGT.
We provide media relations, corporate communications, reputation counsel, and related advisory services to business clients. This website is an informational and lead-generation platform describing our services and allowing prospective clients to submit enquiries.
2. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through storylinepro.life, email correspondence with addresses at our domain, telephone enquiries directed to published numbers, and in-person interactions at our studio when you voluntarily provide information. It does not govern third-party websites linked from our pages, including Google Maps when you choose to load embedded maps after accepting functional cookies.
If you are a client employee or contractor whose data is processed under a separate engagement agreement, that agreement may contain additional or overriding terms regarding confidentiality and data handling for project work.
3. Personal data we collect
3.1 Information you provide directly
When you complete our contact form, we may collect your full name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and message content. We do not request payment card numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, one-time codes, or other authentication credentials through this website.
If you email us or call our office, we retain the information you choose to share — such as your name, organisation, role, and details of your communications needs — to respond and, where appropriate, prepare proposals.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Our hosting infrastructure may record standard server logs including IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are used for security monitoring, diagnosing technical faults, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising pixels or cross-site tracking technologies on this website.
3.3 Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal cookie approach. Essential functionality does not require non-essential cookies. Functional cookies and local storage may be used to remember your cookie consent choice and, if you accept functional cookies, to load Google Maps on our contact page. See our Cookie Policy for details.
4. Purposes and legal bases for processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries: To read, assess, and reply to messages you submit — necessary for steps prior to entering a contract at your request and for our legitimate interest in operating a professional services business.
- Providing services: If you become a client, we use contact and project information to deliver agreed PR and communications services under contract.
- Security and integrity: Server logs help detect abuse, unauthorised access attempts, and technical errors — legitimate interests in protecting our systems and users.
- Legal compliance: We may retain certain records where required by applicable law, regulatory request, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Consent: Where we rely on consent — for example, loading Google Maps embeds — you may withdraw consent by clearing site data or contacting us, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. How we use contact form data
Enquiries submitted through contact.php are transmitted to [email protected] via our server mail function and logged in a restricted server-side file for operational backup. Access to submission logs is limited to authorised personnel. We use your email address as Reply-To when responding; we do not use your address as the From sender header.
We do not sell personal data to list brokers or unrelated marketers. We do not use contact form submissions to send unsolicited bulk email unrelated to your enquiry.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers: Hosting providers, email infrastructure, and IT support bound by confidentiality obligations necessary to operate storylinepro.life.
- Professional advisers: Lawyers, accountants, or insurers where required for compliance or risk management.
- Authorities: When compelled by valid legal process or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Google Maps, when loaded at your choice, is provided by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not control Google's data practices.
7. International transfers
Our primary operations and hosting aim to keep data in Singapore or jurisdictions with comparable safeguards. If data is transferred internationally — for example, through email routing or cloud infrastructure — we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable requirements.
8. Retention
Contact form logs and enquiry correspondence are retained for up to twenty-four months unless a longer period is needed for active client matters, dispute resolution, or legal obligation. Server logs are rotated on a schedule appropriate to security needs, typically not exceeding twelve months in active storage.
When retention periods expire, data is deleted or anonymised where feasible. Backup tapes or archived snapshots containing personal data are overwritten according to hosting provider cycles and are not restored except for disaster recovery with equivalent access controls.
9. Security measures
We implement administrative, technical, and organisational measures including HTTPS enforcement, restricted access to server directories containing logs and includes, input validation on contact forms, honeypot spam filtering, and sanitisation of mail headers. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on applicable law — including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) in Singapore — you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
- Request deletion or restriction in circumstances provided by law;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify your request. We may need to verify identity before responding. We aim to reply within thirty days.
11. Children
Our services and website are directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under eighteen without appropriate parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a minor submitted data, contact us for deletion.
12. Marketing communications
We do not add website enquirers to marketing lists without explicit opt-in. If you receive service-related email after an enquiry, you may request to stop non-essential communications at any time.
Where permitted by law, we may send transactional messages confirming receipt of your enquiry, scheduling calls, or delivering proposals you requested. These messages are not promotional newsletters and include contact details to opt out of further non-essential email.
13. Do not track
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because industry standards for responding to DNT vary, we do not alter our essential processing solely based on DNT headers. Our site avoids non-essential tracking regardless of DNT settings.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly. Material changes may be highlighted on this page. Continued use of the website after updates constitutes acknowledgment where permitted by law.
You are encouraged to review this page periodically if you continue an ongoing dialogue with our team or maintain bookmarked links to our legal notices.
15. Data breach notification
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will assess the situation promptly and notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law. Our incident response includes containing the breach, evaluating scope, remedying vulnerabilities, and documenting lessons learned to reduce recurrence.
16. Automated decision-making
We do not use solely automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning individuals based on website interactions or contact form submissions. Enquiry assessment involves human review by our team.
17. Records of processing
Internally, we maintain records describing categories of personal data, purposes, retention, and recipients relevant to website operations and client services. These records support accountability under the PDPA and internal audit requirements.
Records are reviewed periodically and updated when we introduce new tools, change hosting providers, or expand service lines that affect how personal data flows through our organisation.
18. Third-party content in client work
When delivering PR services to clients, we may process personal data of journalists, influencers, or event attendees under client instruction. Such processing is governed by engagement agreements and client privacy obligations. This website Privacy Policy does not replace client-specific data handling terms.
19. Accessibility of this policy
We aim to present this policy in clear language accessible with assistive technologies. If you require an alternative format, contact [email protected] and we will endeavour to accommodate reasonable requests.
We review this Privacy Policy when we change data practices, launch new site features, or update legal requirements in Singapore. Previous versions are not published online, but you may request summary of material changes by email.
