1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember preferences, maintain security, or enable optional features. Similar technologies include local storage, which we use to remember your cookie consent choice without setting advertising trackers.
2. Our approach
StoryLine Pro operates a privacy-conscious website suitable for business visitors. We do not deploy advertising cookies, social media pixels, or third-party analytics scripts on storylinepro.life. Google Ads may measure ad clicks independently when you arrive from an advertisement — that tracking occurs within Google's systems, not via cookies we set for marketing retargeting.
3. Cookie categories we use
3.1 Essential
Essential cookies and server mechanisms support basic security and delivery of pages you request. Because the site functions without optional tracking, rejecting non-essential cookies does not block access to content. Server-side session mechanisms, if any, are short-lived and not used for profiling.
3.2 Functional (optional)
With your consent, we load an embedded Google Map on our contact page showing our office at 120 Robinson Road, Singapore 068913. Google may set its own cookies when the iframe loads. You can accept functional cookies via the banner, click "Show map" on the contact page, or continue with essential cookies only and use the text address link instead.
3.3 Local storage
We store your consent decision under the key storylinepro_cookie_consent in local storage. Values are all (functional cookies permitted) or essential (maps not auto-loaded). You can clear this by removing site data in browser settings, which will cause the banner to reappear.
4. Cookie banner
On first visit, a banner explains your choices:
- Accept all: Permits functional cookies and loads Google Maps when you visit the contact page;
- Essential only: Stores your preference without enabling map embeds until you explicitly choose "Show map".
The banner does not use dark patterns, fake system alerts, or automatic redirects. It remains until you select an option.
5. Third-party cookies
Google Maps is the only third-party embed that may set cookies after consent. Google's practices are described in Google's privacy and cookie documentation. We do not control third-party cookies and recommend reviewing Google's policies if you use the map feature.
Google Fonts stylesheets are loaded from Google servers; fonts may involve connection logs. We use font display with preconnect for performance. If you prefer to avoid Google Fonts network requests, browser extensions or local font overrides are available at your discretion.
6. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through:
- Our on-site banner and "Show map" control;
- Browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data;
- Private browsing modes that clear storage after sessions.
Blocking all cookies may affect optional features but core pages remain readable with JavaScript disabled except for the map placeholder, which includes a noscript fallback link.
If you previously accepted functional cookies and wish to revoke consent, clear local storage for storylinepro.life and reload the page. The banner will appear again so you can select "Essential only". Any loaded Google Maps iframe will not reload until you consent again or click "Show map".
7. Updates
If we introduce new optional technologies, we will update this policy and, where required, request renewed consent before activating non-essential cookies.
9. Duration of consent
Your consent preference remains until you clear site data or we materially change cookie practices requiring renewed consent. We review this policy at least annually and whenever we add optional embeds or storage mechanisms.
